Autumn Lipsticks

Now that Autumn is fully here and its started snowing, i thought i would do a post dedicated to my top Autumn lipsticks. I am a love of deep reds and burgundy shades, so narrowing this down was actually harder then i thought. What makes it even harder, it owning 4 lipsticks of the same shade.

First up is of course the infamous Ruby Woo from MAC. I can't say enough about this as its such a staple in my lipstick collection. Its a matte formula and actually suitable for all times of the year. I love this and its one that i always go to if I'm unsure and what to wear some colour on my lips.

Next up is Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture The Mattes Lipstick in 206. I first saw Zoella wear this and it was actually the one shade of lipstick i didnt have. I debated on this for a while and whether i could justify £25 on a lipstick, but i convinced myself that i did. I am so glad that i did, as its most probably my favourite winter lipstick. Its a matte one again, but it doesnt feel drying on the lips, infact its very moisturising and doesn't feel like you have anything on.

Next up is a lipstick i picked up last year from Toyshop. Its part of their velvet liquid lipstick collection. I am not sure whether you can still get it, but a good dupe is the Sleek Matte Me in Rioja. Unfortunately, i don't think they do either of these anymore, which is annoying. This is the perfect deep red lipstick which is great for Autumn and Winter. Its a matte finish, which is my favourite type of finish is a lipstick. The only con i have about this is that is very drying on the lips, so you don't want to have chapped lips or dry lips before applying this.

Up next is another MAC lipstick and I'm sure everyone and their pets fish uncle called Derek has this. The infamous Rebel lipstick. Truth be told, i have never worn this lipstick. I love the look of this, but its not a matte finish and I'm lazy and i panic that I'm going to end up with purple up to my eyelids. A very warm autumnal purple/pink/berry/plum shade which i love the look  of and need to actually wear it at some point!

MAC's Diva is another favourite of mine. I would say this is very similar to the YSL lipstick, just has more red tones in it. Again, its a matte lipstick, so my favourite formula. Its very easy to wear and moisturising for the lips.

Next up is my favourite lipliner of the season. MACs Burgundy lipliner is very autumn appropriate. Its more of the brown side of the red category but it is so nice even to wear on its own. Its great for all of the above lipsticks and its great for giving that extra bit of darkness should you want that in your lipsticks.

Finally is a completely inappropriate MAC lipstick in Haute Core. Its a black lipstick and its a cream sheen formula i believe. Its also limited edition, so you can't get your hands on it anymore. This is more for the daring people out there. I most probably wouldn't wear this, as its not my favourite formula and its actually a pain to keep on top off.

So, there we have my top autumn lipsticks. I have more but didn't want to bore you with 10 of the same deep red shades. I love autumn as its acceptable to wear the darker shades of lipsticks and if i could, i would wear them all year round. I would love to know your favourite lipsticks and what you think of them. Thank you so much for reading and have a great weekend!
