2014 Roundup

Hello everyone, hope you are all well. Safe to say, this post is a little overdue, but i wanted to do a little roundup of how my year went last year. I was going to name this post Woody's Roundup, but i don't think anyone would have understood where i got them from. Thumbs up to you, if you do know what film its from!

Looking back on 2014, I realise that it was actually a pretty good year. There were a few ups and downs, but overall, i accomplished so much that i didn't think i would. Firstly, i finished uni, which i never thought i would do that. I struggled through uni and I'm so glad that its over. I really struggled with my last year, but I'm so proud of myself that i managed to finish and get a good grade, that i am happy with. I also managed to get myself a full time job within a month of finishing uni. My original plan was to have the summer of and just relax, but i am so happy that i actually managed to get a job so quickly. I was really scared that i wasn't going to and be left just applying for jobs day after day after day. I really enjoy my job and i think the people who you work with play a big part. I work in a relatively small office with the nicest bunch of people i have ever met. I am so happy and although i hate Mondays, i do enjoy working there. I also bought my dream car and am so happy with it. I always wanted this car and know i finally have it, i can't quite believe it!

I also turned 21 which was somewhat terrifying but also quite good. I hate celebrating my own birthdays as i have a fear of getting older and i also think that my birthday in particular is way overrated as i never do anything. My best friend and I, surprised our other best friend with a trip to Paris for her 21st and it was amazing. I went on holiday to Egypt which was incredible and i need a holiday so bad, its getting ridiculous, April can't come soon enough!

Overall, 2014 was a good year and I'm scared/excited to see what 2015 brings. I decided this year not to set any resolutions as i never stick to them and i just want to do things of my own back and not let a resolution decide my goals for the year. Saying all of that, i really want to get back into my blog more. I love blogging and i always miss not doing it, so thats my only resolution technically.
Anyway, i hope you enjoyed my rambled mess, but i hope 2014 was a good year for you aswell. I hope 2015 is a great year for everyone and slows down, because we are so close to February now its scary! Thank you for reading!

YSL Haul

Hello everyone, i hope you are all well. Today i thought i would share my thoughts on my new Yves Saint Laurent products, which i actually picked up in early December. I am a massive fan of YSL products and really wanted to extend my collection as i used to only own the 1 lipstick that everyone else owns, know as Peach Passion, which I'm not the biggest fan of. When it comes to YSL, they know how to make you drool for packaging. I think they have managed to hit the nail with the hammer, because i could cry at the beautiful packaging that all of their products have. Theres nothing nicer then having a gold bullet on the top of your muji draws.

I had been after a deep red/berry shade for a while now and when i saw this one of the boots website and of course, in true blogger style reading up on reviews, i was sold. I literally couldn't have cared less about the price tag. I was more intrigued on the free candle if you spent £50, so of course i didn't find that hard.  The shade 206 in the YSL Rouge Pur Couture The Mats Lipstick is the option i chose. I wanted a matte lipstick as they are my favourite, but this is very hydrating and creamy. It does have a subtle sheen, but nothing that is obvious on the lips. I find this is best when paired with a lipliner. I only have Cherry from MAC but i am on the hunt for some darker ones, so recommendations are welcome. When applied well to the lips, i find this can last a good 8 hours or so. Depending on the person and what they are doing would vary, but on me its around 7-8 hours. This was £25 and i am so glad i bought this, the price literally does not bother me in the slightest. I love YSL products and i know the quality of them is incredible.

I also picked up a foundation. I have heard a lot about their foundations and i have wanted to try one for a while now, but wasn't sure which one to go for. In the end i opted for the Forever Youth Liberator Foundation. I have heard lots of good things about this and i did my research on the perfect shade, as buying makeup online, especially foundation isn't an easy one, when you don't now your colour from that brand, its even harder. I really struggle to find a foundation which works for my dry skin and so far i am in love. I was really worried that the colour wouldn't match and that it would make my skin go crazy and seep into my dry patches i know, gross, but it happens. Even the first day of wearing, someone commented on how good my skin looked, so this one is a keeper for sure! Again, not cheap at £36, but with instant improvements and results, i would happily repurchase this after its finished.

So, that is my little YSL haul. I think that it could possibly be one of my new favourite brands and I'm itching to try more for the brand. I hope you enjoyed and let me know your favourite YSL products!

Maggs London

Hello everyone and a massive Happy New Year. I hope you all had a nice evening spent with your favourite ones. If you've seen my previous post, you may have seen that i spent mine with a few bottles of champagne and some odd kitchen dancing and boy was it good! I did also have a horrific hangover the next morning which wasn't ideal. It has taken me a while to write this post. I am not to sure why, but i thought we would kick start the New Year with a good one!

I am all sure you have all heard of Hannah Maggs and her lovely little family. I have been watching her videos since she first started and i can't believe how far she has come. I don't think anyone else could deserve it as much as she does, and lets acknowledge how cute Grayson is! When she announced she was going to be launching a makeup bag range, i knew it would be so tasteful, chic and of course,  the most amazing quality. I held of off buying them for a while, but  when i finally took the plunge, i was so excited to receive the. although i had a little mix up with getting the wrong bag, then my dad throwing them in the bin, i did order some more and Hannah was so nice about everything. It is hard to believe she's never run a business before, as she was so understanding and amazing about it all.

The bags are all made with Liberty London fabric, which is amazing because I'm obsessed with Liberty and of curse this means its all made in Britain which i also love. theres nothing like supporting your country with products of such a great quality also made in Britain. The bags are a nice size which allows me to fit in all of my daily makeup into. Seeing as i have 2, i have one for my makeup and then the other one contains my Emergency kit. separate post on its way. The bags are not cheap, but i am happy to pay and support products that are of high quality and Made in Britain.
Hannah has chosen so gorgeous fabrics and i can't wait to see what the future holds for her and what other designs will be coming out of the bags. If you want to check out the website it is

I hope you enjoyed this post and i will see you soon!
