New Years Eve Essentials

Hello everyone, its been a long time coming since I've sat down and written a blog post. I am just sitting around, wondering what to do for New Years Eve. I know I'm going to a friends for dinner and then a good bogey, so I'm sure that my head will be rather sore in the morning to say the lease. Last year, i sat on my own watching High School Musical. I kind of, do not want to do that again, but it may end up that way. I thought i would do a blogpost on the essentials that i will be having on New Years Eve. Everyone is different, but this is just what i will be having on the evening, regardless if I'm spending it alone of with others.
Champagne, sweets, chipsticks, camera, phone, glasses, flutes and music are all you need in my opinion. If you are spending it alone, you could add a couple of DVD's in to the mix as well. I also like to add some cordial to my champagne to make it more flavoured. I am not a typical fan of the champagne flavour, but i love this blackberry and blueberry cordial which is amazing!
Regardless of whether your snuggled up on the sofa or going out to celebrate, i really hope you have a lovely evening and that you enjoy yourself. Lets embrace the hangovers that I'm sure, plenty will be sporting on New Years Day!

Tanya Burr Lipglosses

Hello everyone, so I did it again. I bought them all. I just had too. I am a huge sucker for the first set of lip glosses that Tanya bought out so i just had to get these ones and my oh my, i am not disappointed.

There are 8 new shades and i think i love them all so much, i actually can't decide on my favourite one. Again, they smell like strawberry chewitts and who doesn't want strawberry chewitts smell on their lips?? I think this collection focuses more on winter/autumn shades which i love this year and think are very trend led which is good in my books. Again, like the last collection of lip glosses, the texture is exactly the same, very smooth and not sticky at all. no one like sticky lip glosses. They are still super moisturising and makes your lip super soft, like a really comfy bed or pillow.

First of we have Daydream which is a really pretty nude with glitter in. The glitter is very unobvious on the lips and on my lips, it acts more as a clear gloss, so would look great over a matte lipstick. Next up is my favourite and is called Lunch Date. This is like the perfect shade for my lips and on an everyday basis. A pinky nude and although its not that opaque, it does a nice wash of colour on the lips.  Next is Sparkling Dewdrops. This is a really pretty glittery pink. Again, the glitter isn't obvious on the lips, but it adds another dimension to the lips which i love! Finally, is I Found Nemo. the name is so cute and the colour is amazing. I think its a cross between a peach and pink and is stunning on. This is the perfect spring lipgloss in my opinion. Its not super opaque like the first lot of glosses, but a nice wash of colour tints the lips.

First we have Aphrodite, which is a gorgeous coral colour with gold reflex. This colour is to die for and on the lips, i think its look beautiful. Next up is a beautiful dark berry shade called Berry Picking. This is a beautiful colour and a subtle wash of the lips creates a glaze of colour. Next up is a shade, that i personally think is overlooked. I love this shade and its one of my favourites. Chocolate Fondue is a gorgeous brown shade. It is very subtle on the lips, but it looks incredible. Finally, the most beautiful deep red/ burgundy Enchanted Forest. I love these colours for Autumn and Winter and this is amazing on the lips. Super pigmented and just all over amazingness!

Overall, Tanya hasn't failed and has produced incredible products once again. I love them all so much and still love the smell of them. Super moisturising, not as pigmented as the other collection i feel, but still an incredible price for an amazing product. One thing i have noticed is the packaging has slightly changed, but i think i actually prefer this packaging and logo to the other collection. I can't wait to get the limited edition Christmas gloss and of course, i shall review that when i receive it. I have extended my giveaway till Thursday, so don't forget to enter if your in the UK and want to win some Rose Gold brushes! Thank you for reading and lots of christmas love!

Anastasia Beverly Hill Tamanna Palette

Left to Right - Custom, Gilded, Venezia, Blush, Fresh
Left to Right - Noir, China Rose, Chocolate, Bengal, Sangria
After months of watching beauty bloggers on youtube raving about any Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadows, when i saw this palette on Sephora, i knew i had to have it. Firstly, the colours are so pigmented and creamy, it is almost unbelievable, i feel like they put any other eyeshadow to shade. I really wanted the Maya Mia palette, but after it had sold out i settled with this one and i am so glad that i have done.

This is my 3rd product from Anastasia Beverly Hills and so far, i haven't been anyway near the unimpressed stage. When i first got this, i was a bit sceptical, but after playing around with the eyeshadows, i was thoroughly impressed. The palette itself is limited edition and it was around $35. I don't think that you can actually get it anymore as i bought this back early October time. These are without a doubt the best eyeshadows that i currently own. when it comes to palettes, i don't tend to stick to just one for a long time, i normally try it out for a week and then completely forget about it. However, this has a safe space in my makeup bag for a good time as i think its the perfect everyday palette. I go mediocre on my eyes in the days, i like them to be a little dark and smokey and this palette provides the perfect shades to do so. I have filmed a look with these palette which will be up tomorrow, so that will be on my YouTube channel if you want to check it out!

Overall, i love this palette. I don't have any words that will express my love for it. It is annoying that its limited edition but some of the shades my be in their individual collection when they are realised and i think its safe to say, i will be purchasing a few or a lot! Thank you for reading and if you haven't already check out my giveaway below!! Zx

Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon

Ever since Charlotte Tilbury was featured on one of Lisa Eldriges' video, i have been so intrigued with her job and looked up to her as a role model. saying that without sounding weird isn't easy. I have always been into makeup and wanting to become a makeup artist is still a dream of mine, but just on hiatus at the moment. When i heard she was going to be releasing her own makeup line, i was so excited to see what it included. I knew the packaging would be exquisite and the products themselves would be dreamy. I have picked up a couple of items from her line know and am seriously impressed.

The colour chameleon sticks were the first thing on my list as well as the while line. The idea of having a colour to suit your eye colour is amazing and such a clever and original idea. I went for the shade Amber Haze. Having dark brown eyes, it is really hard to bring my eye colour out with eyeshadows. I like to use this on days when i just want a simple wash of colour on my eyes. It is super creamy and pigmented that it lasts for a good 8 hours whilst I'm out at work. The colour is beautiful and it really brings out the brown in my eyes. The price of these are £19 which to some may be pretty expensive, but considering the quality of the whole Charlotte Tilbury range, i am willing to pay for a product that is of this high quality.

Overall i am seriously impressed and will be continuing to purchase products from the Charlotte Tilbury makeup line. I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading!

Zoeva Brushes and Giveaway

Over the past few months or so Zoeva has become a very popular brand to most people within the beauty blogging world. If you haven't heard of Zoeva then you really must have been living under a pretty big rock. After hearing so much about them and being a bit of a makeup brush fanatic, I decided thati just had to treat my self to some of their sets and also an individual brush.

First up we have a brush i have seen wondering all over the internet. The Luxe Highlighter brush looks like to softest brush I've ever seen and it certainly it. Annoyingly it didn't come in any of the sets that i wanted, so i did have to buy it on its own, but it is still worth the €12.80. I love using this brush for contour, powder, setting concealer, foundation and of course highlighting. I think its the perfect multi task brush, that can be used for anything.

As a big lover of eye brushes, but not actually owning many i thought i would also pick up the Complete Eye Set. I never seem to have enough eye brushes and seemed like it had everything you would need for your eyes in one case. You get 12 eye brushes for €60 which i think works out at £60 with the exchange rate, but thats £5 for a brush which is incredible value for money in my opinion. From blending brushes, to eye liner brushes and angled brushes, there is something in this set for everyone. I love using the 332 for my brows. It is like a little wand that creates magical brows. I would seriously recommend this to any beginner or pro. the brushes are of an amazing quality for the most affordable price. The brushes that come within this kit are:

  • 224 Luxe Defined Crease: Create smooth eyeshadow transitions
  • 226 Smudger: Smudge eyeshadow and kohl along the lashline
  • 227 Soft Definer: Softly blend and smooth eyeshadow
  • 228 Crease: Blending and shading eyeshadow in the crease
  • 230 Pencil: Precise shading and smoothing edges
  • 231 Petit Crease: Accentuating and blending in the crease
  • 234 Smoky Shader: Shading and blennding with smoky effect
  • 237 Detail Shader: Detailed application of eyeshadow
  • 315 Fine Liner: Apply eyeliner in delicate strokes
  • 317 Wing Liner: Detailed eyeliner strokes and a perfect wing
  • 322 Brow Line: Eyebrow brush for powder and cream products
  • 142 Concealer Buffer: Apply and blend concealer

Finally we have their infamous Rose Golden Luxery Set. First of, who doesn't love rose gold and secondly, who doesnt need a good quality set of makeup brushes. After waiting a good few weeks for these to come back in stock as they had just sold out as soon as they came back in. I finally grabbed my hand in them. I love the fact that these come with adjust bag and clutch. The clutch is handy for night outs fyi.... I couldn't wait to get my hands in these. I truly don't believe there is a better feeling then new makeup brushes. The set comes with 8 brushes so you get a nice mix of face and eye brushes. I think this is the perfect set for a beginner just getting out in makeup and learning how to use brushes would be. A lot easier I think then those silly little applicators that come with most makeup items. The brushes which come in this set are:

  •  Face:
  • 106 Powder: Apply loose and pressed powder
  • 102 Silk Finish: Apply and blend foundation
  • 110 Face Shape: Contour the face shape with cream and powder products
  • 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek: Apply powder blush
  • 142 Concealer Buffer: Apply and blend concealer

  • Eyes:
  • 227 Soft Definer: Softly blend and smooth eyeshadow
  • 231 Petit Crease: Accentuating and blending in the crease
  • 317 Wing Liner: Detailed eyeliner strokes and a perfect wing
Here you have my review on the Zoeva brushes. Seeing as i have hit 500 followers on my blog, i thought i would also do a little giveaway just to say the biggest thank you from the bottom of my heart. Jo Malone

Jo Malone has very quicky become one of my favourite brands this year. The sleek chic packaging, delectable scents and quality products is something that every brand should aspire too and quite frankly Jo Malone wipes it out of the window.

I received a candle this year for my birthday and the perfume. I think I have gone through 4 since last November, so it's hair enough to say I will buy the big bottle next time. Although they aren't on the cheaper side, they are a very luxery brand and they have that luxery price tag too.

I have the scent Peony and Blush Suede which is certainly my favourite and a very Spring/ Summer orientated scent I think. I'm possible the worst person when it comes to describing scents, so fingers crossed this doesn't sound like it smells like shit. It's a very fresh scent with a hint of floral undertones. It's not too overpowering that it's pungent, but it sticks around in a good way. Although I personally feel this scent is a more Spring/Summer scent, I think you can certainly still get away with in these months. However, I think that I would 'need' a autumn/winter scent so a trip to Jo Malone may be needed......

The candle is a more subtle fragrance but more warming as obviously it's hot but it also slightly alters the scent. I also love the fact you get Jo Malone matches when you buy the candle, but I'm easily pleased so that may be why. Again, I feel it's still a Summer scent so I may need a matching candle to my autumn/winter scent.

All in all, this is certainly my favourite brand of perfume and candles for the moment. It's luxery and it lasts and it's homely. What more could you want. I hope you enjoyed this post! Also, my cousin has started a blog so I will leave it here if you would like to check it out. I would it's really good and I'm not just saying that! Zoe xx

Dramatic Halloween Look

So this is the final look for my halloween series. This is my favourite look i think out of them all. I love how simple, effective yet versatile it is. I love that you don't even even have to wear this for halloween, it could be for any occasion or event. I wanted to keep in with the halloween trend, by having the ombre lips. It didn't work aswell as i wanted it to, but i think its still quite effective. I am 100% going to be rocking this look on halloween, but with black lipstick instead of purple. I have left the video tutorial of it below and i hope you enjoy! X

Sultry Clown Halloween Look

Clowns are probably a very stereotypical halloween costume. I know that my sister has a great fear of them, so i wanted to do a look that wasn't super scary, but it was still effective. I love the way this came out and i do believe its really effective and almost sultry, i also love the ombre lips.  Its simple yet effective and i think people can definitely tell what your aiming to be when you wear it. I will leave the video down below if you want to achieve this simple, yet effective look! Enjoy! X

Simple Sugar Skull

Another simple halloween look i have done on my youtube channel. This was super easy and it nice if you don't want to go all out cray with face paint and what not on Halloween. It is also great if your allergic to face paints. I really like this look and think its super effective.

You can easily re-create this with different colours and products, but i love how it came out. I have left the video below if you want to find out how to create it! Enjoy! X

Brunette Barbie

As Halloween approaches, this year i decided not go all blood and guts and just do more simple looks. I am not going as any of these for Halloween, but i just thought these were simple ideas which i have never seen before.

My first look was a brunette barbie look. I am not a fan of coloured eyeshadow and pink is certainly one i would stay clear of, but i thought that perhaps some people do like colour and pink. I actually love these look and the outcome of it. I think its really effective and is a typical barbie look in my eyes.

If you want to see how i created it, you can just watch the video below. Its super was and quick and can be used with some many others colours as its such a simple smokey eye. Enjoy!

Zoella Lets Glow

Zoella is probably in my own opinion the most successful blogger in the UK and has a gigantic following so it was obvious that her products were going to do well. An inspiration for many and the reason many people have started blogs and youtube channels, Zoella is again in my opinion one of the most influential people out there for younger people aspiring to be youtubers when they grow up. So when i heard she was launching Zoella Beauty, i knew i had to buy some bits.

After hearing that the most successful british beauty youtuber and blogger was launching her own lime of pamper products, i knew i had to get my hands on some. I have been loving candles recently and this was the first one on my list. Lets Glow is a beautiful lightly fragranced candle that sends soft floral scents around the room. I think this was £6 and its probably the best £6 I've ever spent on a candle. I am probably the worst person to describe a scent, but if your in a superdrug, i urge you to go and give it a sniff because its unlike anything I've smelt before, but it weirdly leaves me wanting more. I also love the packaging, it is so cute and pretty and very pinterest, which of course I'm not objecting to. I really want to try the bath fizzers and pretty much all of the other products in Zoe's line. Its a very affordable brand with an excellent product from what i can tell so far.

You can buy Zoes products at Feelunique and Superdrug. A massive congratulations to Zoe not that she will ever read this for creating a beautiful line of products! I hope you enjoyed reading! Xx

I am all sure that we have heard of the infamous Glamglow before and its magical powers. On my way back from Egypt, i picked up a tub on the duty free. I have wanted to try it for so long, that i thought why not and also duty free means its cheaper, so its a win win suitution.

After hearing so much about the product I just knew I had to try it. However, the steep price tag did put me of for quite a while and after seeing it on the plane, I feel it was a sign. I love face masks and as this one is exfoliating it's so nice and refreshing for my skin. It made a difference in one use, so I can't wait to use it again. I love the way it tightens my skin as I feel like it's getting rid of my wrinkles and any fine lines. Although it doesn't it just makes my skin feel so much more youthful and better. I only use small grapes sized amount and this cores the whole face. To take the face mask of i simply just use warm water and wash it of with my hands. I don't want to be to forceful with my skin, so i find my hands are the best way to remove it.

All in all, I am super impressed and really want to try more from the Glamglow range. I hope you enjoyed this post and have a lovely day! Zoe xx

Honeycomb Home

The other day, I saw this when it was about 2 weeks ago, my sister and I decided to make some honeycomb. Also know as hokey pokey in Cornwall, I had been wanting to make it for a while now, but my sister stole my idea and made it first. I absolutely love crunchies and I know they aren't the same, but I nearly taste as good.

I thought I would take pictures as it's quite possibly the most simplest sweet treat to make and one of the cheapest.

First of you will need to get the ingredients and a recipe of course. We used one from the Ultimate Nigella Lawson. All you will need to make this mind boggling treat is 4 tablespoons of golden syrup, 1 1/2 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda and 100g of caster sugar.

First of I recommend getting all of the ingredients prepped, however this is such as easy recipe it's literally bunging the syrup and the sugar into the mixing bowl. When you come to getting the golden syrup, if you oil your tablespoon, the syrup will just glide of and not make a pain to try and get it of the spoon!

After you have got all the ingredients in a bowl minus the bicarbonate of soda, you need to make it into a paste. This isn't easy for those with a lack of upper body strength, I certainly struggled. Once you have done this, its simple. Put it in the pan for 3 minutes until its bubbling and looking like its burning on a high heat. We put ours on 250 degrees as this way its quicker and then you don't have to stand around for ages.

Once this delicious bubbling syrup looks like it's done, you need to be super speedy here. Quickly take it of the heat and add the bicarbonate of dados into the sugary mixture and then whisk. It will rise very quickly ( so also make sure your using a decent sized pan) and turn into a gorgeous caramel colour. I really recommend you don't stick your fingers Ito as hot sugar burns. I've been there and it's one of the most painful things I've ever experienced. Once you've done this, simply put it into a try, let it cool and within an hour it will be set. I put mine in the fridge as I'm impatient and wanted it sooner.

Once it's set, the fun part of smashing it comes. All I did was lift up my tray and then dropped it on the surface. It was so satifsifying it's good if your angry! You can then smother, dip, coat or whatever you want in chocolate.

I hope you enjoyed this post. I loved making it and making the honeycomb of course. Let me know if you make it and I would love to see a picture if you do!
